Smooth Minerals Powder Foundation + Blush Makeup Review

Hey there, beauts! I’ve known for quite some time that I adore the Avon Smooth Minerals Powder Foundation. It blends well, it’s fragrance free and it’s great for my sensitive skin. The Smooth Minerals line from Avon contains pure mineral pigments and the foundation provides build-able coverage with a natural, luminous finish. The regular cost of the Smooth Minerals Powder Foundation is $12, and I find that to be a steal. It often goes on sale which sweetens the pot even more! There are 12 shades to choose from, including a Transparent Glow and Bronze. I’ve found that my perfect shade is Light Beige. I have been incredibly happy with this product —so happy  that I came across it and gave it a try!

Prior to using this as my go-to foundation, I had never realized how fragrant my previous face makeup was. Upon receiving my order (I also ordered the Avon Pro Blush Brush), my first impression of the shade as I removed it from the box was: “Oh, that’s intense.” Honestly, I was worried that I would not like it because it appeared very bright.  I lightly dipped the Blush Brush in and tapped off any excess. I discovered if you desire a softer glow, just apply lightly. If you would like a more dramatic effect, go heavier. It’s that simple! The Blushing Mauve shade is a gorgeous pink with slight hint of purple. It was a fine choice for my fair skin. I’m looking forward to trying out the other shades as well but I know that this one is a keeper!

My Avon Beauty Favorites | Post 4

Hey, beauts — Happy March! Spring is truly around the corner and I cannot wait. Sure, the snow is pretty to look at but so are bright colored flowers and sunshine! In my first blog post of March, i’ll be continuing my series on My Avon Beauty Faves Roundup, with Post Four. I hope you all enjoy it! I’m going to start first with the lipstick. The all-new Perfectly Matte Lipstick in shade Ideal Lilac is a perfect shade for Spring. It’s bright and the matte finish is a current beauty trend. This lipstick, while being a matte finish, is not drying to the lips. It never cakes nor cracks and has an incredible lightweight feel. My Avon Beauty Favorites | Post 3

Hey there, beauts! Its a new day and I've got a new post to share with you all, featuring more of My Avon Beauty Faves. Just like the other posts to this series, I will share my reasons for why I love each featured product. I will also list product prices and include any deals/special offers where applicable. After the post, I would like to once again open it up for discussion --- so, be sure to leave a comment below!

I'd like to start off the post today with the Avon Care Silicone Glove Protective Hand Cream. This is an Avon Favorite of many and has been for years. I first got this for myself at the end of November, last year. The Seasonal Mini Hand Creams were available, and I bought the bundle which included this product. My seven year old son loves when I get "Avon goodies" so, I gave him a mini tube of the Silicone Glove and was happy that he was happy. He tried it out right away and came to me with excitement at how good it smelled. He said "I'm not exactly sure what it smells like, it's like something I know of. But it's real good, Mom. My hands are so soft now!" Then I thought, hey with a little review like that, how could I not give it a try myself!? My first impression of this product was how it did not feel like hand cream as I rubbed it in. It was not sticky and absorbed into my skin quickly and felt like I had just used baby powder on my hands. That's when it hit me --- the scent of this Silicone Glove Protective Hand Cream is incredibly reminiscent to that of baby powder. It is fresh and clean smelling. It is soft, and works wonders at healing and protecting my hands with all of the dish washing I do around here! I'd like to move on now to the next fave of mine, Ultra Color Lipstick in shade Pink Punch. This lipstick color is from the Bold Shades line of the Ultra Color brand. It was always not enough color or not the color I expected to show up when applied, it just wasn't worth it to me. My next Avon Beauty Favorite that i’m featuring in this entry, is the Foot Works Beautiful Overnight Lavender Cream. This stuff smells amazing — so calming, and serene. The texture is non-sticky and it simply moisturizes my feet while relaxing me in the evening when I apply it. Lavender is typically known for its calming effects so it is no wonder why this product puts me at such ease. When I apply this Foot Works Beautiful Overnight Lavender Cream, I put socks on for a bit to fully seep in. I do not think that is a requirement but it is something that I do, so i’m mentioning it. My Avon Beauty Favorites | Post 1

Hey, loves! I’ve decided to take on a new set of posts with each one featuring a few products from Avon that i’m currently obsessing over. Over the next week or so, i’ll put up a new post and share all of the reasons that I love each product. I’ll also be listing current prices and special offers where applicable. I’m not certain on how many parts to this new line of postings there will be, but let’s start off with Post One and go from there!

What I love about this mineral mask is that not only does it work to remove pore-clogging oils in the skin but it doubles as an acne treatment. When applying, you’ll feel a cooling sensation and it goes on black. As it dries (and does its job!) it turns grey. So, there is no guess work — you can see and feel this product working. I also notice a tightness to my face as it dries but it brings no discomfort really. My skin is quite sensitive and I have yet to have an issue with this product irritating my skin. I love the consistency of this product, it is not too thin nor too thick. It really does moisturize my skin with no eye irritation. I do notice that after applying this product my face appears to be greasy/oily. This does not seem to be an issue though as I apply right before bed.
