New Blog Post Series: Make Your mark. Monday Post 1

Got a bad case of the Mondays? Personally, I know I do. Not wanting to stay in that funk,  I thought about some way to change my mood. My Avon Beauty Favorites | Post 3

Hey there, beauts! Its a new day and I've got a new post to share with you all, featuring more of My Avon Beauty Faves. Just like the other posts to this series, I will share my reasons for why I love each featured product. I will also list product prices and include any deals/special offers where applicable. I'd like to start off the post today with the Avon Care Silicone Glove Protective Hand Cream. This is an Avon Favorite of many and has been for years. I first got this for myself at the end of November, last year. The Seasonal Mini Hand Creams were available, and I bought the bundle which included this product. My seven year old son loves when I get "Avon goodies" so, I gave him a mini tube of the Silicone Glove and was happy that he was happy. He tried it out right away and came to me with excitement at how good it smelled. He said "I'm not exactly sure what it smells like, it's like something I know of. But it's real good, Mom. My hands are so soft now!" Then I thought, hey with a little review like that, how could I not give it a try myself!? My first impression of this product was how it did not feel like hand cream as I rubbed it in. It was not sticky and absorbed into my skin quickly and felt like I had just used baby powder on my hands. That's when it hit me --- the scent of this Silicone Glove Protective Hand Cream is incredibly reminiscent to that of baby powder. It is fresh and clean smelling. It is soft, and works wonders at healing and protecting my hands with all of the dish washing I do around here! I'd like to move on now to the next fave of mine, Ultra Color Lipstick in shade Pink Punch. This lipstick color is from the Bold Shades line of the Ultra Color brand. It was always not enough color or not the color I expected to show up when applied, it just wasn't worth it to me. With that being said, I gave a look at the shades and decided on something bold that would give me a take charge attitude. My Avon Beauty Favorites | Post 2

My next Avon Beauty Favorite that i’m featuring in this entry, is the Foot Works Beautiful Overnight Lavender Cream. This stuff smells amazing — so calming, and serene. The texture is non-sticky and it simply moisturizes my feet while relaxing me in the evening when I apply it. Lavender is typically known for its calming effects so it is no wonder why this product puts me at such ease. When I apply this Foot Works Beautiful Overnight Lavender Cream, I put socks on for a bit to fully seep in. I do not think that is a requirement but it is something that I do, so i’m mentioning it. Being Scent-sible with Avon Fragrances

Good afternoon, beauts. Its been awhile since my last blog post and I do apologize, but as i’m sure you can all relate to – life happens! I will be working toward being more consistent with my entries and providing quality posts featuring all the Avon + markgirl. favorites. In today’s entry, I will be going over the Avon Fragrance Pyramid and sharing fragrance facts.

First, the Fragrance Pyramid. Every fragrance is a subtle blend of three distinct layers – Top: The first impression. This draws you in and captures your attention. Middle: The full body of the fragrance is revealed, giving the fragrance its overall character. Base: This is the lasting note, that lingers and conveys depth and richness.

Dos & Don’ts:
DO keep fragrance away from heat and cold temps.
DON’T leave opened fragrance unused. Once opened, your fragrance will begin to fade or change over time.
DO know that Avon Fragrances are exclusive to Avon. You may find similar scents elsewhere but none are of exact quality.
