Hey there, beauts! I’ve known for quite some time that I adore the Avon Smooth Minerals Powder Foundation. It blends well, it’s fragrance free and it’s great for my sensitive skin. The Smooth Minerals line from Avon contains pure mineral pigments and the foundation provides build-able coverage with a natural, luminous finish. Prior to using this as my go-to foundation, I had never realized how fragrant my previous face makeup was. To apply this powder, I use Avon’s Kabuki Brush. It’s regular price is only $6.49 and I find it to be the perfect tool for this product’s application. The brush is soft and blends the makeup flawlessly. The bristles are not coarse and they do not shed as i’m circling the powder on my face. To clean, I use Baby Shampoo — works like a charm!
For my bronzer/blush, I’ve previously used the mark. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder. While I do love it, i’ve been eager to try the Smooth Minerals Blush. The Glowdacious is more of a bronzer and i’ve been wanting to try out a pretty pink blush. The Smooth Minerals Blush is regularly priced at $10. It works for all skin types, even sensitive skin. There are 8 shades available and my for my first go at this blush, I chose shade Blushing Mauve.
Upon receiving my order (I also ordered the Avon Pro Blush Brush), my first impression of the shade as I removed it from the box was: “Oh, that’s intense.” Honestly, I was worried that I would not like it because it appeared very bright. I lightly dipped the Blush Brush in and tapped off any excess. I discovered if you desire a softer glow, just apply lightly. If you would like a more dramatic effect, go heavier. It’s that simple! The Blushing Mauve shade is a gorgeous pink with slight hint of purple. It was a fine choice for my fair skin. I’m looking forward to trying out the other shades as well but I know that this one is a keeper!
